KeraSoy 4130 Soy Wax specially formulated for container candles
This 100% soy wax has been developed specifically for making container candles. Soy wax 4130 is ideal for creating scented candles and container candles (jars, glasses, metal tins, etc.). A wide range of recipes are possible with this wax.
Perfect for poured candles
Soy wax is an excellent choice when you want to make your own container candles. It offers a number of advantages that make it easy to create high-quality candles. The colour and shape of the pellets may vary depending on availability and harvest.
Ideal for making massage candles
Soy wax has a low melting point, making it an excellent wax for massage candles. It burns optimally, releasing a delicate fragrance as you use it.
KeraSoy Container 4130 soy wax features for container candles
KeraSoy Container 4130 soy wax is natural, biodegradable and vegan, specially designed for container candle making. It provides excellent fragrance throw, a smooth surface, good adhesion to glass, and delivers a consistent finish — typically in a single pour.

Usage guide and technical tips
Melting point and working temperature
Soy wax has a low melting point (42-48°C). It is easier to handle than other types of wax that require longer heating times.
Adding colour
If you wish to add granulated dye, heat the wax to approximately 75°C and stir until fully dissolved. The dye can also be dissolved in the fragrance before being added to the melted wax.
For liquid dyes, heat the wax to approximately 70°C.
For a darker or more intense shade, add a small amount of black dye.
Incorporating fragrance
Being odourless, soy wax will not alter the fragrances of your creations. Fragrance is added after the dye has been incorporated.
This soy wax for container candles can be used with any type of fragrance oil, but we recommend choosing one of excellent quality. An entry-level fragrance could affect the candle’s burn performance and would not deliver an optimal scent throw.
A dosage of between 7 and 10% is recommended.
Using KeraSoy 4130 wax for poured scented candles
Soy wax 4130 is perfect for poured scented candles, with a beautiful burn that leaves no residue on the container. This vegetable wax is also natural and cruelty-free.
Optimal container filling
Melt the wax gently using a bain-marie and do not exceed 80°C. The melting point is around 45°C. After pouring, allow to cool at room temperature (20°-25°C). Filling requires only a single pour.
Choosing wicks
With soy wax, we recommend TCR or ECO type candle wicks, chosen according to your container diameter.
Vegetable waxes, such as soy wax, often require slightly thicker wicks than those used with paraffin wax. However, be careful: if the wick is too large, it can cause the wax to overflow, burn too quickly, or tunnel into the sides of the container. Conversely, a wick that is too small may not melt the surface correctly and can create a tunnel around the flame. If the flame flickers or the burn does not appear consistent, do not hesitate to test a different wick type.
Cooling conditions
Once the candle has been poured, it should be left to cool at room temperature and allowed to rest for 48 hours before use. This will ensure that the candle sets perfectly!
The temperatures given above are the result of internal testing and may differ from the values stated in the supplier’s technical data sheets.
