Burn testing was conducted with 2 wooden wicks in a single sustainer, using Cargill C-3 soy wax, without fragrance or colorant.

1 set contains: 20 wooden wicks + 10 metal sustainers

Optionally, depending on the container diameter, wax type, amount of fragrance, and colorant, for a more efficient burn, we recommend using 2 wooden wicks in a single sustainer.

Wicks burn in their natural state when used in candles. Optionally, to improve burn performance, soak the wooden wicks in oil for at least 15 minutes.

Before lighting the wick, it is recommended to trim it to a maximum of 0.5cm.

If you notice the flame has diminished during burning, try trimming the wick.

Wooden wicks are an innovative alternative to traditional cotton wicks. Not only do wooden wicks burn cleanly and disperse fragrance excellently, they also generate subtle crackling sounds, creating a captivating acoustic ambiance. The soothing crackling sounds of wooden wicks bring a whole new sensory delight to your candles.

Because only limited sizes are available, it may be more difficult to find the ideal size for your candle. If the wooden wick is too large, you can change the size by cutting a thin strip from the edge to reduce the flame size. If it is too small, you can double up the wicks.

If your wick extinguishes during burning, it is likely that the blend is not suited to the wick and you may need to reduce the amount of fragrance. Alternatively, you can modify the wax composition, increasing viscosity by adding a small amount of beeswax, which will excel in capillary action and help improve burn quality.

The wick should always be trimmed so that it is 5mm or less above the wax before lighting for the first time. Failure to do so may result in poor performance and the wick extinguishing during burning. Experimentation is key!

We recommend testing wicks before using them for commercial purposes.
