IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTE: Mica is a mineral pigment that does **NOT fully dissolve** in wax. For this reason, using it in wicked candles requires extreme caution and is often recommended only for **wickless wax melts** or for **external decoration** of candles.

• Wick Clogging Risk: Mica particles can be drawn into the wick as the candle burns. Their accumulation will **clog the wick**, causing a small, flickering flame or complete extinguishing of the candle.
• Burn Performance Issues (Tunneling): Due to clogging, the candle will not burn correctly, which can lead to tunneling (burning only in the center) and a weaker scent throw (reduced hot throw).
• Extremely Low Dosage Required: If you choose to use it inside wicked candles, use only a **tiny amount (a knife tip)**. Any excess will compromise the burn.

1. Wickless Wax Melts – IDEAL APPLICATION

This is the perfect medium for mica! Since there is no wick, you can fully enjoy the iridescent shimmer and swirl effect as the wax melts in the burner.

• Mixing: Add mica directly to the melted wax (at 70-80°C) and stir thoroughly.
• Dosage: 1-2 grams per 1 kg of wax is recommended, or adjust to your desired intensity.

2. Candle Surface Decoration (Safe Method)

To achieve a fantastic visual effect without risking burn performance, apply mica only to the outside or surface of the candle.

• At Pour: Dust a fine layer of mica over the candle surface shortly after pouring, as the wax begins to solidify.
• After Cooling: Use a soft brush (such as a makeup brush) to lightly paint or dust the surface of the fully set candle.
• Pillar Candles: You can paint the exterior or dust the mold before pouring.

💡 Usage Tip (If Used Internally):

• Pre-dispersion: For better dispersion and to reduce the risk of settling, mix the mica powder with a small amount of fragrance oil first, before adding it to the melted wax.
• Wooden Wicks (Recommended): Some makers find that wooden wicks are less susceptible to clogging than cotton wicks, though the risk still exists in either case.
