Pure Yellow Beeswax – Pellet Format

A completely natural choice, prized for its warm golden hue and subtle, sweet honey scent. This pure-grade beeswax in pellet form is perfect for rustic candles, organic cosmetics, and blends that require a solid structure and extended burn time.

Natural Scent & Color
Retains its natural honey fragrance and characteristic golden hue, ideal for 100% authentic products.
Guaranteed Purity
Pharmaceutical-grade purity with an extremely low impurity level (just 0.1%).
Ideal for Blending
Increases the hardness of soy wax and improves surface smoothness when poured.

Technical Guide for Makers

  • Wick Selection: Because beeswax is dense and burns at a higher temperature, we recommend wicks made from cotton with a paper core (such as the Stabilo series). Test 1–2 sizes up from those used for soy wax.
  • Fragrance Profile: As beeswax already carries a natural honey scent, it is best to use fragrance oils that complement this base (e.g. vanilla, cinnamon, woody notes). Use a slightly lower concentration to avoid masking the natural aroma.
  • Container Adhesion: Pre-warm glass containers to approximately 40°C before pouring to minimise thermal shock and the appearance of air pockets (wet spots).
  • Crack Prevention: Allow candles to cool slowly at room temperature. Beeswax has a higher contraction rate, so avoiding cold air drafts is essential to prevent radial cracking.

Temperatures & Dosage

Melting Point 61 – 66 °C (Batch optimum: 63.2 °C)
Fragrance Addition 70 – 75 °C (Stir gently for at least 2 min)
Pouring Temperature 65 – 70 °C
Fragrance Load 4% – 6% (up to 8% with prior testing)

Recommended Applications & Products

Category End Products / Uses
Craft Candles Mould-poured candles (pillar/sculptural), rustic candles, taper candles made by repeated dipping, container candle blends (increases the hardness of vegetable waxes).
Natural Cosmetics Lip balms, solid creams and lotions (body butter), medicinal ointments, pomades and wax for styling moustaches and beards.
Wood & Leather Care Polishing wax for solid wood furniture, waterproofing and conditioning balms for footwear and natural leather goods.
Eco-Friendly / Home Beeswax Wraps – a sustainable alternative to plastic cling film for food preservation.

Pro Tip:

The pellet format allows for even, rapid melting, preventing degradation of the natural golden colour through overheating. Allow the candle to cure for at least 48 hours before the first burn to stabilise the bond between the wax and the fragrance oil.
