The burn test was carried out using 2 wooden wicks in one sustainer, with Cargill C-3 soy wax, without fragrance or dye.

1 set contains: 20 wooden wicks + 10 metal sustainers.

Depending on the container diameter, wax type, and amount of fragrance or dye, for more efficient burning we recommend using two wooden wicks in a single sustainer.

Wooden wicks burn in their natural state when used in candles. Optionally, to improve burning, you may soak the wicks in oil for at least 15 minutes.

Before lighting, trim the wick to a maximum of 0.5cm. If during burning the flame becomes too small, try trimming the wick again.

Wooden wicks are an innovative alternative to traditional cotton wicks. Not only do they burn cleanly and disperse fragrance effectively, but they also produce subtle crackling sounds, creating a unique acoustic ambiance. The gentle crackling sound adds a whole new sensory delight to your candles.

Since only limited sizes are available, it may be harder to find the perfect fit for your candle. If the wooden wick is too large, you can trim a thin strip off the edge to reduce the flame size. If it is too small, you can double the wicks.

If your wick extinguishes during burning, it is likely that the wax blend is not suitable for the wick. You may need to reduce the amount of fragrance. Alternatively, you can adjust the wax composition by adding a small amount of beeswax, which will improve capillary action and enhance burn quality.

The wick should always be trimmed so that it is no more than 5mm above the wax before the first lighting. Failing to do so may lead to poor performance and the wick extinguishing during burning. Experimentation is key!
