Technical Guide for Creators
- Wick Selection: Because beeswax is dense and burns at a higher temperature, we recommend cotton wicks with a paper core (such as the Stabilo series). Test with 1-2 sizes larger compared to those used for soy wax.
- Fragrance Profile: Already possessing a natural honey scent, it is advisable to use oils that complement this aroma (e.g., vanilla, cinnamon, woody notes). The recommended concentration is slightly lower so as not to overpower the natural smell.
- Container Adhesion: Pre-heat glass containers to approximately 40°C before pouring to minimize thermal shock and the appearance of air pockets (wet spots).
- Crack Control: Cool candles slowly at room temperature. Beeswax has a higher shrinkage rate, so avoiding cold air drafts is essential to prevent radial cracks.

Recommended Applications and Products
| Category | End Products / Uses |
|---|---|
| Craft Candles | Candles poured in molds (pillars/sculptural), rustic candles, taper candles made by repeated dipping, blends for container candles (increases the hardness of plant-based waxes). |
| Natural Cosmetics | Lip balms, solid creams and lotions (body butter), medicinal ointments, pomades, and mustache/beard styling wax. |
| Wood and Leather Care | Polishing wax for solid wood furniture, waterproofing and nourishing balms for footwear and natural leather items. |
| Eco-Friendly / Home | Waxed textile wraps (Beeswax Wraps) – as an eco-friendly alternative to plastic wrap for food preservation. |
Pro Tip:
The presentation in pastilles format allows for quick and uniform melting, preventing the degradation of the natural golden color from overheating. Let the candle cure for at least 48 hours before the first lighting to stabilize the bonds between the wax and the fragrance oil.
