Honeycomb Sheets Made of Pure Yellow Beeswax
A completely natural choice, renowned for its warm, golden hue and subtle, sweet aroma. This beeswax (pure grade) presented in the form of honeycomb-patterned sheets is perfect for creating traditional rolled candles, as well as for organic cosmetics or blends that require a solid structure and an extended burn time.
Retains its natural honey scent and characteristic shade, ideal for 100% authentic products.
Pure pharmaceutical grade, with an extremely low impurity level (only 0.1%).
Ideal for directly rolling decorative candles, or for being cut and melted into blends with soy wax.
Technical Guide for Creators
- Wick Selection: Because beeswax is dense, we recommend cotton wicks. For rolled candles, ensure the wick is firmly pressed onto the edge of the sheet before beginning to roll, in order to avoid air gaps. If pouring candles, test with 1-2 sizes larger compared to soy wax.
- Fragrance Profile: Already possessing a natural honey scent, it is advisable to use oils that complement this aroma (e.g., vanilla, cinnamon, woody notes). The recommended concentration is slightly lower so as not to overpower the natural smell.
- For Melting and Pouring (Blends): If you choose to melt the sheets, pre-heat glass containers to approximately 40°C before pouring to minimize thermal shock and the appearance of air pockets (wet spots).
- Crack Control: For poured candles, cool slowly at room temperature. Beeswax has a higher shrinkage rate, so avoiding cold air drafts is essential.
Temperatures and Dosage (For use by melting)
| Melting Point | 61 – 66 °C (Optimal according to batch: 63.2 °C) |
| Fragrance Addition | 70 – 75 °C (Stir gently for at least 2 min) |
| Pouring Temperature | 65 – 70 °C |
| Fragrance Load | 4% – 6% (maximum 8% with prior testing) |
Pro Tip:
When creating candles through cold rolling, make sure you work in a warm room (approx. 22-25°C). If the honeycomb sheets are too cold, they lose their malleability and can crack during rolling. A useful trick is to gently warm the sheet from a distance with a hair dryer on a low setting right before rolling it, to achieve a perfectly tight and finished candle.
